Adrian E. Coronado Mondragon is Senior Lecturer in Technology and Operations Management at the School of Management, Royal Holloway University of London, UK.  He holds a PhD from Brunel University, West London where his research work focused on determining information systems contribution to manufacturing agility for SMEs in dynamic business environments.  He holds the MSc from the University of Birmingham, UK and the BS in Electronic Systems Engineering from ITESM-CEM, Mexico.  Adrian’s research interests focus on supply chain performance, modularization and mass customization, schedule and information visibility in the supply chain, reverse logistics, multimodal logistics and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), in particular the use of innovative Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Internet of Things (IoT) and blockchain technology in logistics and supply chain management.

Adrian was Principal Investigator (PI) in the  project 'COMP-FORE - Composites UK Foresight: Cross Sector modelling tool for strengthening supply chains by technology insertion'. The purpose of the project was to create a sustainable model of the composites supply chain that will allow companies to make realistic engineering decisions on technology insertion to strengthen the UK supply chain, based on real-world economic data as well as the technical merits of that technology. The HUB composites capabilities database, which was one of the deliverables of the COMP-FORE project, has been selected as an impact case for submission to the REF2021.

Adrian was PI in the EPSRC-funded project (grant number EP/F067119/1) 'Feasibility of implementing Direct Short Range Communication (DSRC) technology for the management of road transport logistics feeding port operations' and PI in the seed corn research project ‘Assessing the support of current and novel information and communication technology (ICT) solutions to information visibility in complex logistics arrangements comprising road haulage and port operations’ funded by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), UK.    

Adrian teaches Operations Management in the MBA, MSc and Undergraduate Programmes in the School of Management, Royal Holloway University of London. He has delivered research seminars at the Korea Transport Institute, The University of Hong Kong, Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering, The University of Xiamen, Department of Management, Xiamen, China and the Faculty of Logistics, Burapha University, Bang Saen, Thailand.  In 2014 he was visiting professor at National Taipei University of Technology, Department of Business Management, Taipei, Taiwan.

Teaching courses include: At UG level, MN2505 - Operations Management, MN2506K - Operations Management Kaplan.  At PG level, MN5137 - Strategy, Technology and Operations in a Globalising World - Operations Management (MBA); MN5121 - International Information Systems and Operations Management (MSc - IM).

Adrian is a member of the Association of Computer Machinery (ACM) and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).  Prior to joining Royal Holloway Adrian held positions at Hull and Liverpool Universities.
