Personal profile

I am interested in Historical International Relations, focusing on how the historiography of thoughts and concepts can contribute to International Relations (IR) theories and deepen our understanding of Middle Eastern politics. In my PhD thesis, I examine the transnational activities of peripheral Shia clergy as a case study to advocate for intertextual analysis as a methodology for the historiography of ideas in IR. By analysing a variety of historical texts from 1925 to 1990, including pamphlets, memoirs, magazines, and letters, I aim to highlight the significance of incorporating the diversity of discourses into political analysis.
