Personal profile

Personal profile

I am a first-year PhD student funded by the South East Network for Social Sciences (SeNSS) working with Transport Research Laboratories (TRL), London. My supervisors are Polly Dalton and Szonya Durant and my TRL supervisors are Shaun Helman and Ianto Guy.

Research interests

In collaboration with the Omnidrome facility at RHUL, I am developing a testbed to study remote human operators of automated ground vehicles. I aim to investigate factors for maintaining remote operator awareness of a live vehicle and its dynamic surroundings, including data types (e.g., video, audio, lidar, haptic) and data presentation methods. The findings will aid in designing human-machine interfaces and operator training programmes.

Teaching

Since 2021, I have worked as a Teaching Associate in the Psychology department on undergraduate research methods and statistics modules. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Senior Editor and Communications Manager of the THESIS pedagogic research group in the RHUL Psychology department.
