Dr Philip Fei Wu is Professor of Information Management and Head of Department of Digital Innovation Management. He holds a PhD from the iSchool at the University of Maryland, College Park, USA.

Broadly speaking, Dr Wu's research looks at human behaviour in technology-mediated environments from sociopsychological perspectives. In recent years, his work focuses on online customer reviews, digital labour platforms, and digital health. He has published in leading academic journals such as ACM Transactions on Information Systems (TOIS)Information & Management, Information System Journal (ISJ), Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS), New Technology, Work and Employment (NTWE)Social Science & Medicine, among others. He is a regular AE/reviewer for International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) and European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS), and serves on the editorial boards of Information Systems Journal, Information Technology & People, and Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology

Dr Wu teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on research methods, social media analysis, and digital business. He led the creation of MSc Digital Business and was the programme's inaugural Director in 2018-2020. He also served as Deputy Director of PhD programme in the School of Business and Management from 2019 to 2023.
