Personal profile

Dr Najmeh hafezieh is a Lecturer in Digital Innovation and Analytics at the department of Digital Innovation and Management (DIAM). Najmeh holds a PhD in Management from the University of Edinburgh and her main research interest is related to the dynamics of organisational digital transformation, digital work and digital innovation. In her PhD thesis, she explored how: i) the new digital technologies are remaking the organisation internally, leading to ii) the development of new roles and expertise outside Information Technology (IT) departments, and iii) recreating the organisations’ relationship with their customers.

Najmeh has presented her work in multiple prestigious peer-reviewed conferences including European Conference on Information Systems, International Conference on Information Systems, Academy of Management, British Academy of Management, and Innovation in Information Infrastructures Conference at the University of Warwick.

Before joining Royal Holloway, Najmeh worked at University of Edinburgh Business School and Westminster Business School as a visiting lecturer, where she was involved in teaching various courses and designing teaching and learning materials. Najmeh is also a fellow of Higher Education Academy (HEA).

 

Najmeh’s professional memberships include the membership of Association of Information Systems (AIS), British Academy of Management (BAM), Academy of Management (AOM), and UK Academy of Information Systems (UKAIS). 

 

In addition, Najmeh serves as a reviewer for Information Systems Journal (ABS 4*), Academy of Management annual meeting, British Academy of Management Conference, International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS), and European Conference on Information Systems (ECIS).
