This research can broadly be categorised as examining a) the role law, society and culture play in the creation and protection of personal freedoms and corresponding rights, globally and nationally; b) Cultural, including Intellectual property, rights; c) access to justice and private law rights in their social context.

We aim to:

  • Undertake cutting-edge interdisciplinary research which develops empirical understandings and theoretical developments in research.
  • Develop relationships and partnerships with other research institutions and universities in the furtherance of knowledge.
  • Engage with key stakeholders in society to help achieve policy and practice impact
  • Enhance research funding capabilities
