Architecture & Writing is the seventh Architecture &: a termly interdisciplinary seminar providing opportunities for staff and student researchers within the Bartlett School of Architecture to initiate research conversations at interdisciplinary crossings:

-writing as architects, artists, critics, geographers, landscape designers, novelists, performers and poets.
-writing across disciplinary boundaries and genre distinctions.
-writing against, around, into and away from traditional modes of operation and forms of knowledge.
-writing off, around and up to such terms as art-writing, place-writing, and site-writing.
-writing other practices, positions, places.
-writing spatial relations between where, why and what (we write).
-writing of, to and for.

For the Architecture & Writing event at the Bartlett, Kreider + O'Leary performed 'Allegory of the Five Elements'. The piece, which relates to the second part of the tripartite film project Gorchakov's Wish, enacts a displacement and translation of the penultimate scene from Andrei Tarkovsky's Nostalgia through image, object and action.
