Abstract
Briony Hughes’ Milk tracks her health journey during the pandemic: chronic pain, an extreme liquid diet, attempted surgery and its resulting complications. Drawing on memoir, verse, found language and concrete poetry, Milk is anything but glum, revelling in the joy of the body, its communities and creativity.
