Description
The aim of this project is to develop experimental work enabling the transmission of Radio signals over fiber optic communication channel for telecom applications. High frequency Radio signals transmitted over optic communication channel is converted at lower and upper frequency, depending on applications, using our in-house cutting edge Microwave Photonics and Sensors laboratory This project has many applications in the Telecommunication sector such as 5G and beyond, where the information is transmitted over a higher frequency and then downconverted to a lower frequency, so that a smooth signal processing can be realised by using a lower bandwidth equipments.
