Yiannis Tselekounis is a Lecturer in the Information Security Group of Royal Holloway, University of London. Prior to that he was a postdoctoral fellow at the School of Computer Science of Carnegie Mellon University, a faculty fellow at the Courante Intitute of Mathematical Sciences of  New York University,  and a Research Associate at the School of Informatics of the University of Edinburgh and member of the Security and Privacy Group, the Blockchain Technology Laboratory and the Quantum Informatics Group. He holds a PhD degree in Cryptography from the University of Edinburgh.

His research interests lie in the fields of Cryptography and Information Security, both theoretical and applied. Selected topics include:

  • Εnd-to-end encrypted protocols
  • Blockchain technologies
  • Non-malleable cryptography
  • Cryptographic techniques for hardware security
