  • PostDoc - Italian National Research Council (Tito, Italy) 2011-2012
  • Ph.D. - Depositional processes in tidally-controlled mixed siliciclastic-bioclastic systems (University of Basilicata, Italy) 2007-2011

My research focuses on the sedimentology of (i) mixed siliciclastic-carbonate deposits, (ii) tidally-dominated sandbodies accumulated in confined settings, (iii) deltaic to shallow-marine clastic depositional systems, and (iv) bottom current/contourite deposits using outcrop and subsurface datasets. My current interest is focused on the understanding of depositional systems and their reservoir characterization and distribution.

I have a PhD from the University of Basilicata (Italy) on the sedimentology of mixed siliciclastic-carbonate tidally-dominated deposits accumulated in confined settings, and a Postdoc with the Italian National Research Council (CNR). I worked in Norwegian E&P companies for 5 years, with experience in exploration and production. Since September 2016, I work as a Sedimentary Geologist and coordinator of MSc courses in Sedimentology and Energy Geoscience at Royal Holloway, University of London.
