Abstract

The Silence of the Bees: A Science Opera was premiered on the 17th March as part of the RHUL Science Festival. This one-act opera (duration ca. 60mins) was the result of a collaboration with biologist/bumblebee specialist, Mark Brown and was intended to contribute to raising awareness of bumblebee decline.
It was performed by six singers and an eight-piece ensemble conducted by John Jansson.
