Abstract

Modern world system experiences an overall lack of balance, high degree of uncertainty and increased chaotic behavior. This paper presents an approach of the changeable environment under the effect of globalization concentrating to the significance of world-scale chances occurring in the fields of politics, economics and the shifts in the demographic distribution of world population and the characteristics of the migration waves. Transitional elements, gradually, affect common day-to-day entrepreneurship’s activities.

In this paper we divide the approach in two parts. In the first one, we describe how the trends characterizing modern economy underlie in everyday functionality of a SME and, in the second part, we outline the necessity of encapsulating a new way of thinking in whole business structure reviewing the meaning of risk and human mistakes not under an academic formality but as business tools providing practical utility for the small company’s owner and director towards a pressing and constantly changing future.
