Rethinking the Actor's Body: Dialogues with Neuroscience

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This book seeks to rethink the actor's body in the light of recent research into the structure and function of the neural system of humans. The aim is not to debunk existing acting theory but to examine what practitioners know without knowing it. Equally it proposes that neuroscience can offer the theatre practitioner new ways of thinking about themselves as creative artists.
