On the Waterfront: The Museum in Docklands

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

London's busy docks and warehouses once symbolised the success of one of the greatest port cities in the world. The Museum in Docklands tells the story of the docks from Roman times, through the age of Empire to today's skyscrapers. David Gilbert, a senior lecturer in geography at Royal Holloway, visited London's newest museum and found it strong on detail but unadventurous in approach.
