They are {\textquoteleft}organic{\textquoteright} hybrids operating at the {\textquoteleft}overlapping space{\textquoteright} where knowledge translation and integration occur naturally in everyday work. They are {\textquoteleft}embedded{\textquoteright} knowledge brokers. The {\textquoteleft}artists-in-academia{\textquoteright}, who cross over from the art world to academia, experience more permanent macro-role transitions. They are {\textquoteleft}intentional hybrids{\textquoteright} who make conscious efforts to bridge two discrete work domains by creating a separate {\textquoteleft}transitional space{\textquoteright}.
