Barkatullah's Transnationalism

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This is a biography of a key Indian Muslim transnational radical whose politics took him from Bhopal in central India via Bombay to London, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, and Moscow, before his death in San Francisco in 1927. Through his travels we gain an intimate sense of a world in flux as the impact of nationalist struggles, the First World and the Russian Revolution interacted directly and indirectly with his life across three continents.
