Abstract
Applying for funds to conduct research is an integral part of academia.
However, the application process may be daunting for post-grad students
who are applying for their first fund. The uncertainty over proposed timelines
and greater reliance on online testing during the pandemic may have
shifted the nature of research funding applications. In this article, I discuss
my experience of applying for funding in lockdown and offer tips for future
applications. These tips mostly arose from my own experience, but I hope
that by sharing this advice I can help others who are applying for funding
during these uncertain times.
