Description

'Archives Alive: Peterloo' was an education and public engagement project developed in partnership with The National Archives and supported by the People's History Museum, the UK Parliamentary Archives and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Designed to mark the 200th anniversary of the Peterloo Massacre, the project produced 18 short videos based on the testimony, papers and observations of a range of historical figures (from government ministers to victims) relating to the build up to, events of, or aftermath of the massacre. This archival material was identified with the help of volunteers from The National Archives and the University of the Third Age.
