Description

This $8,000 research fellowship was awarded by The Library of Congress, Washington DC and the Georgian Papers Programme (jointly run by King's College, London; William & Mary College, Williamsburg and the Royal Archives, Windsor). My research focuses on leading advocate, reforming Whig MP and Lord Chancellor Thomas Erskine (1750-1823) as a case study to explore the dynamic transatlantic transmission of legal culture during the American War of Independence and Early Republic.
