I hold a PhD in industrial relations from Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. One paper from my thesis was given the Best Doctoral Student Paper Award by the British Universities Industrial Relations Association in 2021. I studied Masters of human resources and industrial relations at the School of Labor and Employment Relations, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (US).

My research interests are to understand meaningful work and work relations in the context of changing employment relations (freelancing in particular) and how these concepts differ across regions and cultures.

Currently I am working on a qualitative research project to understand the long-term impact of the pandemic on freelancers and a longitudinal quantitative research investigating how family influences work meaningfulness. I am also part of a research team to investigate challenges and potentials in developing the creative sector in Slough.

I am interested in research topics including but not limited to:

• freelance work, career mobility, labour process
• meaningful work
• comparative studies in employment relations
