Personal profile

During my studies I have developed key foundations of knowledge within various subjects include Tourism, Business and Social Science. I am currently in the final stages of PhD research in Social Science (Cultural Geography) at the Royal Holloway University of London. Supervised by Professor David Gilbert and Professor Klaus Dodds, my research investigates Heritage, Identity and the Sense of Place in Sichuan Province after the 12th May 2008 Earthquake in China. Drawing on the results of ethnographic study in the disaster landscape, my research explores the impact of the earthquake on cultural heritage, popular memory, memorialisation and tourism in Sichuan.
