Personal profile

I am a composer, sound designer and performance maker working primarily in an interdisciplinary context. Regular collaborators include choreographers Keren Levi and Ivgi & Greben and theatre makers Bryony Kimmings and Sharon Smith.

Amongst others, I have worked with/at Complicite, The National Dance Company of Korea, Prague Chamber Ballet, Royal Opera House, Phoenix Dance Theatre, Soho Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Frascati (Amsterdam), HAU (Berlin), Provincial Dance Theatre Yekaterinburg (Russia), Grand Theatre (Groningen), Southbank Centre, Spring Dance, Festival Huis aan de Werf (Utrecht) and Battersea Arts Centre.

Shows that I have worked on have been performed in 20 countries.

My music has featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, BBC 6Music, BBC 1Xtra, Channel 4, Sky Arts, Sky Sports, LBC, Virgin, Absolute, BBC 1 and BBC 2.

Recent productions include:

To Band, with Keren Levi - "The result is spectacular: the band quickly becomes an organism, which constantly changes form and tone... The music switches between minimal sobriety, raw poetics and ritual... reminiscent of Chinese opera.”(Volkskrant);

Forgot To Love, with Ivgi&Greben - "Deservedly warm words for English composer Tom Parkinson. The music drove the mood and spirit of the piece. An absolutely stunning collage of sounds, noises, live and electronic instruments. The result was absolutely shamanic, a stunning palette ... perfectly correlated with the action on stage." (Aktualno);

Credible Likeable Superstar Role Model, with Bryony Kimmings (co-directed by TP) - "A work of almost staggering warmth and fragility" (Scotsman)
