My research interests are primarily Public History & Oral History. At present my main interest is how societies commemorate, remember and give meaning to the anniversaries of significant historical events. This is refelcted in my doctoral research, the title of which is: "Magna Carta: Public Commemoration, Celebration and Meaning, 1215-2015"
My interest in public engagement and the discipline of history has extended beyond my academic research. I have recently become involved with the NCCPE (National Co-ordinating Centre for Public Engagement) and have become a Public Engagement Ambassador.
