Research interests

I am full-time post-doctoral Research Assistant to Professor Jane Everson in the AHRC funded project 'The Italian Academies: printing, publishing and the book trade, 1530-1650'. I have completed my PhD on the editio princeps of Thesoro politico(1589). This is the anonymous, first printed collection of Venetian ambassadors' reports, instructions to cardinals and papal nuncios, and various discourses on political issues of the time, and I have published the results of my doctoral research in various articles. My monograph Scipione Di Castro e il suo trattato politico. testo critico e traduzione inglese inedita del Seicento has been published by Vecchiarelli (2012). More recently my work for the Italian Academies project led me to develop research interests on social and intellectual networks in early-modern Italy and Europe. I am also interested in Cinema studies, in particular the relationship between literature and screenplay.
