Simon Oldham is a doctoral research student at Royal Holloway, he holds an undergraduate degree in Business Studies (BA Hons) from the University of the West of England and a Masters in Sustainability and Management (MSc) from the University of Bath. His area of research is the intersection of values and small businesses, specifically how the construct and practice of values occurs in such organisations. He was awarded a doctoral studentship award from the South East Network for Social Sciences (an Economic and Social Research Council funded Doctoral Training Partnership) to undertake this research.

Simon's areas of research interest include sustainability, business ethics, corporate social responsibility, accountancy and organisational behaviour.

Before starting his PhD Simon worked in management accountancy in the telecommunications industry, he holds a Chartered Institute of Management Accountants Diploma in Management Accounting.
