Personal profile

My background is in general psychology and forensic psychology. I am interested in research, teaching, and practice.

Educational background

MSc in Forensic Psychology (Maastricht University, the Netherlands, 2014-2016)- Cum Laude

BSc in Psychology (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, 2010-2014)

Research interests

My primary research interest is in interpersonal violence, particularly elder abuse and sex offending. I am interested in both victim and offender-focused research.

For my doctoral research, I am looking at help-seeking in elder abuse, by victims and by others who help them in an informal capacity (primarily family members). I am interested in barriers and facilitators to help-seeking, as well as attitudes towards external help and intervention.

For my third and last PhD study, I recruited participants who had supported an elder abuse victim informally. Please visit my study website for more information about this study.
