Educational background

MSc in Forensic Psychology (Maastricht University, the Netherlands, 2014-2016)- Cum Laude

BSc in Psychology (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain, 2010-2014)

Research interests

My primary research interest is in interpersonal violence, particularly elder abuse and sex offending. I am interested in both victim and offender-focused research.

For my doctoral research, I am looking at help-seeking in elder abuse, by victims and by others who help them in an informal capacity (primarily family members). I am interested in barriers and facilitators to help-seeking, as well as attitudes towards external help and intervention.

For my third and last PhD study, I am recruiting participants who have supported an elder abuse victim informally. Please visit my study website for more information about this study

This year I am teaching on:

CR1011- Introduction to Criminology

CR2030- Data Analysis for Psychologists

I have previously taught on:

CR2011- Research Methods for Social Scientists

CR2012- Data Analysis for Social Scientists

I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, having completed the InSTIL programme at Royal Holloway.

I am a graduate member of the British Psychological Society and a student member of the International Association of Forensic Mental Health Services.
