Educational background

Research interests

My research is aimed at exploring emotion regulation, which is defined as the monitoring, evaluation and modifying of emotional reactions in order to accomplish goals. Specifically, I am investigating how emotional reactivity and regulation vary amongst individuals with different levels of aggression. I am also interested in the development of emotion processing and regulation in adolescence, both behaviourally and in terms of brain changes. I use a variety of research methods, including computerised tasks, questionnaires, skin conductance recording and functional neuroimaging to conduct this research.

I teach weekly undergraduate workshops and lab classes (PS1010: Research Methods in Psychology).
