Mr Richard O'Connor

Personal profile

I am interested in cognitive development, in particular object representation in infancy and toddlerhood and the links between representation and action. Alongside my teaching, I am undertaking research in the RHUL Baby Lab

Research interests

My research looks at goal-object representation in infancy and toddlerhood. When an infant cannot see an object: How do they learn to make it the goal of their searching behaviour? How do they understand other people's interactions with the object? I use behavioural tasks, looking time and eye-tracking to investigate these questions.
