Personal profile

Research interests

My research focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders, specifically autism and developmental language disorder (DLD). There are two strands to my research. One is literacy and language acquisition, including factors influencing learning for individuals with autism and DLD, and ways that this can be facilitated. I am also interested in the impact of academic transitions on social and cognitive development, with a focus on the transition from primary to secondary school and exiting university.
