I have an MA in Political Sciences (International Affairs, South Asia) from Sciences Po. Paris and an MSc in Economics from University Paris Pantheon-Sorbonne.

Research interests

My research is concerned with the evolution of managerial practices and business networks in India, UK and France, with a focus on service multinationals (banking, consulting, technology). This takes three related directions:

  • Organisation of multinationals across geographies in response to differences in institutional environments. Interested in exploring colonial and postcolonial dimensions in multinationals.
  • Diversity, Equality and Inclusion practices in multinationals and the construction of an inclusive "transnational" workplace (with a focus on gender, parenthood, caste, disabilities)
  • Indian business history, including the internationalisation of Indian firms, business networks and the making of international managers.

Ph.D. supervision

I welcome dissertation proposals from Ph.D. students using qualitative methods, historical methods or social network analysis on the following topics:

  • Employment relations, gender or caste issues inside multinationals
  • Multinationals into emerging economies (India in particular)
  • Internationalisation of Indian firms

  • Modern business in international comparative perspective
