Neil’s research focusses on applied econometric techniques, particularly for policy analysis. His PhD investigates methods for building statistical counterfactuals, exploring traditional techniques such as Difference in Differences in comparison to experimental methods, and more recent, complex, methodological developments such as the Synthetic Control Method (SCM).

Whilst at RHUL, Neil was a Teaching Fellow lecturing in Econometrics and Quantitative methods; he also co-founded BRIDGE, an innovative research consultancy focussed on applying academic quality statistical analysis in real world settings.

He now works as an economic consultant, focussing on quantitative and econometric analysis.
