Research interests

The aim of this research is to examine the factors that contribute to the success of international  joint ventures (IJVs), because these factors remain “poorly understood”. Such factors I examine as partner’s characteristics, learning intent, receptivity, absorpotive capacity, transparency, partner’s prior cooperative experience, national and corporate culture compatibility, and level of trust, influence not only learning outcomes, but also the management and performance of formed IJVs in Saudi Arabia.

My study focuses on the perspectives of Saudi Arabian firms in IJVs formed in Saudi Arabia, examining their motivations for forming IJVs with foreign firms, and the factors that will help the firms overcome potential problems when two firms from different cultural and institutional environments work with each other.
