Personal profile

I have completed PhD under supervision of Professor Chris J. Mitchell of Information Security Group (ISG), Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL).

My research focus is on the security of mobile networks of many types (e.g. 2G/3G/4G mobile telephony and wifi). There are well known and significant privacy threats arising from use of such networks. The goal of my research is to investigate these threats in a range of network types and to find effective mitigation. Initial focus of my research has been mobile telephony.

After completing PhD, I have joined as a faculty member at Institute of Information Technology of University of Dhaka, Dhaka, Bangladesh. I have been involved in teaching at university level education in Bangladesh since 2006. I have work experience in developing software, teaching at universities, and consulting IT projects for government and development partner of the people’s republic of Bangladesh.
