Research interests

My principal areas of interest are in female criminality, gender and crime, rehabilitation and desistance. My PhD research focuses on the impact of different forms of mentoring services for female prisoners and ex-prisoners as a form of rehabilitation programme and in support of their desistance from crime. This research also addressed the contribution of third sector organisations and their efforts to reduce reoffending for women through mentoring programmes in the community.
