Micka Clayton is an accomplished orchestral performer and music educator, with a keen interest in the neurology and psychology of musical learning and memory. Specific fields of interest include the positive benefits of musical learning for brain- and life skills development in young people, as well as the long-term benefits for people of all ages and abilities.

Past research includes the study of Implicit Learning in a musical context, as part of a Masters degree in Performance Science. This research is currently continuing at Doctorate level at RHUL.
