Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman

Personal profile

Dr Mahmoud Abdelrahman is a Teaching Fellow in Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship. He joined RHUL in 2013 and holds an MSc in Information Systems, Organisations and Management and a PhD in Knowledge Sharing by Using Knowledge Management Systems to support Decision Making Processes in Multinational Corporations from Manchester Business School, The University of Manchester. For his MSc and PhD, he obtained a prestigious national scholarship from the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt.

His current teaching interests include International Business Strategy – Technology & Information Management – Knowledge Management - Quantitative Methods – Project Management – Information Systems – Operations Management – Global management, people and the digital divide – Globalisation, the World Economy & MNEs.

His research interests include International Business Strategy, Knowledge Management, Decision Making, Business Technology, Management Information Systems, Knowledge Sharing, Knowledge Management Systems (with particular focus on Multinational Corporations); and methodological issues in using both qualitative, quantitative analysis and structural equation modelling.

Mahmoud is a reviewer of the International Journal of Productivity and Quality Management and the Electronic Journal of Knowledge Management. He is a member of the European Conference on Knowledge Management Committee (ECKM), the Association for Information Systems (AIS), and the Academy of Management (AOM).
