Miss Linda Kirsten Tip

Personal profile

I am a social psychologist mainly interested in intergroup relations, attitudes, and perceptions. The majority of my research is focused on how we can improve relationships between people of different ethnic or religious backgrounds, with an emphasis on acculturation processes. During the past few years I have investigated causes and consequences of domain-specific acculturation preferences in several countries.

I collaborate with:

Rupert Brown (University of Sussex), who supervised my PhD project, on causes and consequences of domain-specific acculturation preferences of majority and minority members;

Hanna Zagefka (Royal Holloway, University of London) on predictors of integration;

Roberto Gonzalez (Pontifica University, Santiago, Chile) on effects of ingroup norms on domain-specific acculturation preferences;

Jan Pieter Van Oudenhoven (University of Groningen, the Netherlands) on a project on virtues across different nations.
