Leigh leads the marketing and student recruitment activity and events for the Faculty of Business and Law at Coventry University. She provides strategic direction for course portfolio development, working closely with the Faculty Marketing and Recruitment teams and the Associate Heads in each school. Leigh has over 20 years experience in academia, previously heading up the School of Marketing and Management and holding various key roles prior to that.

In addition Leigh had extensive experience in industry prior to entering academia, working in various marketing roles for organisations such as Volvo Trucks GB, BP Oil and British Rail. Leigh continues to work closely with industry via professional development courses and knowledge transfer partnerships. Her teaching is in the area of consumer behaviour and research methods. She has recently completed her PhD at Royal Holloway College; her research focuses on teenage identity in a social network context and she has published in this area.

Leigh’s previous academic roles have included: Head of School, Head of Department, Associate Head of Department, Course Leader, Ethics Lead and Recruitment Tutor.

Leigh has many years experience teaching a range of marketing related modules including research methods, consumer behaviour, marketing principles and various online and blended learning modules. In addition Leigh has led the final year undergraduate project module and supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate projects.
