Dr Laura Mickes

Research interests

My research mainly involves the theoretical understanding and advancement of memory (e.g., signal detection and dual process theories of recognition memory), and applied aspects of memory. One line of such research is aimed at investigating and improving eyewitness identifications.

Other research interests include: The effects of bereavement on cognition; mechanisms of memory for social information; gender stereotypes on humour production; and replicability of menstrual cycle shift effects on attitudes and preferences.
