Katharina C. Husemann, PhD is a lecturer in Marketing at Royal Holloway, University of London. Her research is embedded in the field of interpretive consumer research, focusing on tensions that emerge from consumers being confronted with certain brands, products or consumption practices. In particular, Katharina is interested in issues related to conflicting, extraordinary, and spiritual consumer experiences. Her research is published in outlets such as Psychology & Marketing, Long Range Planning, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Public Policy and Marketing and Advances in Consumer Research. Katharina received a prestigious research grant from the British Academy Leverhulme Scheme as well as the Marietta Blau-Scholarship sponsored by the Austrian Agency for International Mobility and Cooperation in Education, Science and Research (OeAD).
