Kate studied her undergraduate degree in English Literature and Creative Writing at Royal Holloway, in which she earned a first-class degree, and received the Phillippa Hicks Memorial Prize for innovation and originality upon completion. Kate then graduated from Royal Holloway with a Distinction in MA English, with her dissertation being on objects, things, and relics in the plays of Howard Barker. Kate is now a PhD candidate at Royal Holloway. 

Research interests

Kate's doctoral thesis will consider representations of animals in James Joyce's Ulysses and Finnegans Wake.

Kate's research interests include: Modernist Literature, James Joyce, Object-Orientated Ontology, and Animal Studies
