I graduated from the University of Manchester with a first-class MMath Mathematics (Hons) degree in 2013, before joining the second CDT cohort in September 2014. I am interested in all aspects of applied and, in particular, theoretical cryptography. My research is focussed in the area of provable security, and I have recently been looking at pseudorandom number generation, cryptography in the face of mass surveillance, and password security. I spent July - November 2016 at Cornell Tech visiting Prof Tom Ristenpart, working on typo-tolerant password authentication. I spent June - September 2017 as an intern at Microsoft Research Redmond, where I worked on analyzing standardized pseuodrandom generators with Dan Shumow.
