The central questions driving my research are about how thought is able to correspond to, or be disclosive of, the world. The focus of my research to date has been the philosophies of Kant, Hegel and Deleuze and their different attempts to provide an account of the grounds of judgement. In pursuing this project, I see Deleuze as very much a part of the post-Kantian tradition, in attempting to replace Kant's philosophy of transcendental conditions with a fully genetic transcendental account. I also have a strong interest in the phenomenological movement, in particular, Merleau-Ponty's own later philosophy of difference and the work of Sartre.
