Ms Hanne Saeveras

Personal profile

Research

I am an MA by Research student supervised by Dr. Ruth Hemus; my research focuses on feminism and Nordic women artists in a project that examines the link between feminism and the avant-garde in Denmark in the 1970's. I am placing the work of artists such as Kirsten Justesen, Lene Adler Petersen, and Ursula Reuter Christiensen within the transnational framework of second wave feminism and analysing it through thinkers such as Donna Haraway, Judith Butler, Susan Suleiman, and others. Interests include representations of the gendered body, feminism, interdisciplinarity and comparative analysis of art and literature.
