Educational background

I am currently studying for a PhD in Low Temperature Physics at Royal Holloway, University of London.

I received a 1st class MSci degree in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2009.

I studied Maths, Physics, Electronics and Chemistry at A-Level at the Dorchester Thomas Hardye School.

Research interests

My work focuses on the 'supersolid' anomaly in low temperature helium crystals. A two mode torsional oscillator cell is used to probe crystals of various qualities to study the effects of sample preperation on mass decoupling in the crystal. An ultra-high sensitivity SQUID NMR experiment is in development that will examine the role of 3He impurities in the anomaly.

Teaching

I demonstrate first year undergraduate labs.
