Personal profile

Profile:

I have a BA in Italian Literature and a MA in Medieval and Modern Italian Literature and Philology, both obtained at the University of Padua, Italy. I published in Studi Buzzatiani and Appunti Leopardiani and presented papers in several important conferences, such as the International Symposium ‘Tu se’ lo mio maestro e’l mio autore’ at the University of Edinburgh in September 2010 and the Society for Italian Studies biennial conference at the University of St. Andrews in 2011. I am organizing, with other PhD colleagues, a Postgraduate conference on translation studies which will be held by IGRS on 31st May 2012. I am a member of the Society for Italian studies, the Modern Humanities Research Association, and the Associazione Internazionale Dino Buzzati.

I am currently in my third year of PhD at Royal Holloway under the supervision of Dr. Fabrizio De Donno. My project is focused on the investigation of the characteristics of the merging of fantasy and journalism within Dino Buzzati’s non-fictional production and in particular on the cultural role of Buzzati’s journalistic work between the 1940s and the 1970s.
