Farhaan Wali has held several highly esteemed lectureship and research posts. Currently, he is completing a research project with the Hansen Fisher Trust. In 2012, he completed a lectureship in the School of Theology and Religious Studies at Bangor University. In 2009, he joined the Al-Maktoum Institute, as a lecturer. His research work is situated at the intersection between academic work and public policy. He has been involved in a number of cross-cultural research projects in the private and public sector related to counter-terrorism and British Muslims. Farhaan Wali obtained his doctorate from Royal Holloway (University of London).
