Evgenia Korkodeilou

Dr. Evgenia (Jenny) Korkodeilou is a criminologist with a strong psychology background. Jenny joined Royal Holloway in April 2020 as a Lecturer in Criminology. She was previously employed as a Lecturer in Criminology at the School of Law, University of Sheffield (2015-2016). She was then appointed as a Lecturer in Criminology at the School of Health and Society, University of Salford (2016-2017) and most recently she worked as a Teaching Fellow in Criminology at the Department of Sociology, Durham University (2018-2019). In her previous academic posts she taught and convened a number of criminology subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and delivered lectures and seminars for modules in gender-based violence, theories of crime, methods of criminological research, victimology, policing, human rights and criminal justice, youth crime and justice, crimes of the powerful, violence and society.

Jenny’s research expertise, interests and writings broadly lie in the areas of gender-based violence, interpersonal and emotional abuse with a focus on different forms of stalking and harassment, harms, victimology/victimisation, violence against women, socio-legal perceptions of and responses to interpersonal abuse and criminological (qualitative) research methods.
