Personal profile

Personal profile

I am the Executive Dean of School of  Business and Management since 2022.

I joined Royal Holloway after a very long stint at Durham University Business School where, among many other things, I was the Head of Management and Marketing Department and later the Associate Dean for External Engagement.

As a researcher I aim to explore questions which are practical, relevant and deliver impact. I focus on the activities customers and suppliers employ to use data and integrate their processes to develop new products and processes. I have been working with practitioners, international scholars, and professional organisations to identify questions that are relevant, and apply rigorous methodological techniques to address them. My research is often published at the world class journals in my field, has led to an impact case study (Durham) and constant stream of funding.

I am a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM) and the Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management (JMTM).  I am a trustee of the Society for the Advancement of Management Studies (SAMS), where I chair the committeed for the Grigor awards for the best PhD.  I am also a member of Committee of Professors in Operational Research (COPIOR), where I represent its external engagement activites.

As a teacher I emphasise the practical implication of theory and actively integrate practitioners and businesses in my classes. I have been teaching operations, supply chain, and project management in MBA, executive education, and MSc classes.
